The NELR will provide the full text of all cases decided by the Courts since 1900. It will consist of cases decided by:

·         The old Supreme Court;

·         The Full Court;

·         West African Court of Appeal decisions on appeals from Nigeria;

·         Privy Council decisions on appeal from Nigeria;

·         The Federal Supreme Court;

·         The High Court of the Regions (from 1954-1966);

·         The High Court of the States (from 1966-date);

·         The Federal Court of Appeal/Court of Appeal;

·         The Federal Revenue Court/Federal High Court;

·         The Investments and Securities Tribunal; and

·         The National Industrial Court.

Features of the NELR:

1. Text of each case is provided;

2. Each case is classified into subject and topic, and in some cases sub-topic;

3. Every statute (Act, Law or Statutory Instrument) interpreted, construed or applied in the case is listed at the beginning and hyperlinked to the text of the relevant statute in the NSCA;

4. A list of all the cases referred to in the case is provided at the beginning of the text and hyperlinked to their report in the NELR;

5. Information on the status of the case, whether:

(a) overruled in a subsequent case; or

(b) approved/applied/distinguished in subsequent cases.
